Clicky Clicky's SXSW Picks For The Procastinating Punter: 2013 Edition
Friends, Romans, blog readers, indie rockers: the Clicky Clicky SXSW Editorial Conclave has conferred in recent days, and we are pleased to announce that we can now provide our recommended list of rock shows for next week's annual, Austin-based music confabulation. Below you will find a very long and narrow blog post indicating endorsed sets, complete with address and venue hyperlink. While we are loathe to tell people what to do, we do feel it is important to weigh in with picks as SXSW grows larger and larger with every passing year, upping the corresponding proverbial signal-to-noise ratio. Sure, every band is a special, unique little snowflake whose mother thinks they are a real catch, but not every band is worthy of the Clicky Clicky critical nod. So, unsurprisingly, bands that the blog follows closely get their props here. The Clicky Clicky dude making each selection is identified below in parentheses next to the band name. In addition, Clicky Clicky's own Michael Piantigini will have Doc Marten's on the ground at the festival, so if our list is still overwhelming, the tl;dr is this: find Michael, buy him beer, and follow him around. Or at least follow him on Twitter at @lsrMichael, where he will likely offer remarks on top of his coverage which will post to the blog as he is able. Without further adieu, here are our anointed selections.
